Executive Director Ron Tibbetts
7 1/2 years ago Ron Tibbetts, a vocational deacon in the Episcopal Church, gave up life in the corporate world to serve the poor and the homeless of Boston. Ron has worked for a small faith based organization as its executive director but he has been much more. He has preached in local faith based communities, participated in seminars and forums at many Boston Universities and given his voice to the homeless and the poor.
Ron has worked to involve over 30 communities in programs serving the poor, but he has worked hardest at getting to know those living on the margins as they come to those programs. Ron has learned to listen when they speak and to be a kind and gentle presence in their lives.
Now Ron feels the calling to move on, to step out and build a new mission among the homeless and the poor grounded in his experience. Oasis Projects, Boston is that vision.
